Kepta Support
Kepta tracks the food in your fridge, freezer, and pantry, warns you before it goes bad, suggests recipes from what you have, and shows what your food waste really costs.
Common questions
What do the colors mean?
Each item's color shows how much of its own shelf life is left. Green means plenty, amber means use it soon, red means it is past its window. Freshness is relative to each food, so fresh meat shows green even though meat does not last long. Items that should be cooked promptly show a cook soon flag instead.
Are the dates food safety advice?
No. Shelf life colors and dates are quality guidance to help you plan. When in doubt, trust your senses.
Why do some items show no dollar amount?
Kepta only counts money you spent. Home cooked dishes are counted as dishes, not dollars, so your savings numbers stay honest.
How do I delete my account?
Open the gear icon on the Kitchen tab and choose Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and all of its data.
